How to be Born Again
No one has ever had the option of choosing who they are born; where they are born or when. All anyone knows is that they are here. At some point early in life you came into conscience that you are here, who you are, and where you are. Everything afterward was learned behavior: your identity, lifestyle, traditions and knowledge of the world. This awareness alone leaves us the option to seek for answers as to why. Albeit, some people are born to seek God and some people are born to choose God.
The first miracle of God is that you can change who you are: your identity, your lifestyle, traditions and knowledge of the world, even your environment. You can be Born Again. Some people may love their current life and see no reason to change and there are some who vehemently desire change. Again, some people are born to seek God and some people are born to choose God.
First, believe in God. Have faith that He will bring the change you seek. He does this through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God does things for a person that man, politics and science cannot do. To receive the Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost, you must seek it and ask God for it. Pray and wait, pray and wait, and it will come and enter your soul. In the meantime, become water Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Find a church that totally submerges your body into water in no other name except "in the name of Jesus Christ." The scriptures give an example of the entire process using Jesus Christ in the book of St. Mark 1:9-11 and St. Mat. 3:16. Again, St. John 3:5 says, "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
Once you are Born Again, the Spirit will change you from within and you will see the world as a different place and you will desire different things. Your understanding will become deeper and many questions will be answered with simplicities. Physical and emotional pains will begin to disappear and anger, hate, and misery will be replaced with an inner peace, happiness and a deeper love in the heart. Not only a love for people, but for God.
